Notes
Name
Status: Accepted Name
.
Last scrutiny: 2009
A tentatively accepted name in the RHS
Horticultural Database.
Recent molecular studies (Cie?lak et
al. 2010) show the Cochlearia
polonica is a narrow endemic taxon
to southern Poland, genetically
different from other Cochlearia
species. The population from Ukraine, regarded as C.
polonica, represents diploid
C. pyrenaica
and not C. polonica.
However, in this assessment
C.
polonica is considered to be present in both countries. (Ref.
264165).
