Neil grew up in Constantia in Cape Town, where he spent many evenings cycling through the forest and green areas. After a twenty year career in IT, he moved to Knysna, a beautiful small town around a lagoon, on the Garden Route of South Africa, where he has served on many environmental initiatives. In between running Worldshift, a company that teaches people how to improve their worlds, and being the youth pastor for his church, he enjoys walking, hiking, and being out on the water. He writes a regular blog called Worldsong.
