Dave Hanson is the creator of Butterflies of South Texas, a photographic reference collection on Compact Disc. It contains over 600 quality butterfly photographs taken in Hidalgo, Cameron, and Starr counties at the southern tip of Texas. This area, known as the Lower Rio Grande Valley, has more species diversity than any other place in the United States. The collection features about 98% of the butterflies a seasoned butterflier might see in a two year period here in the Valley. He is also the creator of Butterflies of Upper Wisconsin, a reference collection of high quality digital photos illustrating nearly 90% of the species found in the upper two thirds of Wisconsin.
