Comment: Holotype: FMNH 100052. Originally EHT-HMS 7158, EHT field
no. 1075; collected 26 June 1932 by E. H. Taylor and H. M.
Smith.
Seems to have been confused with S. scalaris (fide SMITH et al.
2000).
Etymology
: This species was named in honor of Dr. Isaac Ochoterena,
formerly Director of the Instituto de Biologia of the Universidad
Nacional de Mexico in Mexico City, in recognition of numerous
courtesies
extended to Taylor and Smith.
