Habitat
Biome: Terrestrial [1].
Ecology:
The only records
of this species were from the Albertine rift
montane
tropical
moist forest
(Fahr et al.
2002). The day roosting
sites of the species are not known, but seems likely to be caves
and similar habitats
(Fahr et al. 2002). It is not known
if the species can persist in areas of degraded forest.[1].

Simmons (2005) records that this species has been formerly included in Rhinolophus maclaudi (e.g. , Smith and Hood 1980) or R. ruwenzorri (e.g., Csorba et al. 2003), but was found by Fahr et al. (2002) to be distinct from both of these species.[1].
