Notes
This species was originally listed as a subspecies of L. sphinctostoma, but Waldén (1986, pers. comm) believed that the taxa merited specific status. Bank et al. (2002) treat this as a separate species in their checklist and Seddon (2008) also treated it as a distinct species.[1].
