Habitat
Vegetation: tropical lowland evergreen forest, pine forests, tropical lowland evergreen forest, second-growth forests and woodlands, tropical lowland evergreen forest, mangrove forests • Maximum Elevation: 1,500 meters • Zoogeographic Region: Hispaniola • Foraging Strata: Canopy • Center of Abundance: ? • Sensitivity to Disturbance: Medium

It inhabits lowland and montane

favours old, mature
forest2. It is intolerant
of
degraded habitats
or areas opened up by forest

The diet
is mainly fruit and seeds, but also vertebrates

high in large trees
or palms
