Notes

This species is one of many small spring-snails that can be most easily identified using anatomical characters of the reproductive system . Shell characters are similar to those of Belgrandiella fuschi Boeters, 1970, B . wawrai  Haase, 1996 and B. mimula Haase, 1996, so distribution records based on shells alone are questionable (Gloer 2002, p. 109), although B. wawrai  Haase, 1996 and B. pelerei  Haase, 1994 are not found in thermal spring sites.[1].
