Habitat
Ecology:
This is a xerophilic species, which can be found in the undergrowth
of dense grass
and rocky areas of pine savanna
, under rocks in hammock
woodland, or along the margins
of cleared fields
in dead Acacia.

Comment: Holotype: MCZ 143824 For illustrations see Hertz, 1976.
According to Hertz (1976), various specimens of this species had
previously been assigned to Anolis semilineatus. However, whether
A. semilineatus (Cope 1864 (part) should be listed as a synonym for
this species is still unclear.[1].
