Physical Description

Size/Age/Growth

Males are commonly 125 cm (Total Length) in length when caught/marketed, but may be as large as 220 cm (Total Length).

Habitat

May be found at depths of 10 to 100 meters.

Diet

Found mainly near shore over sand and mud , stays at the bottom during the day and rises to the surface to feed at night. Feeds mainly on fish, also mollusks, crustaceans and worms[1].
