Sporocarps scattered or solitary, stipitate, 0.35-0.95 mm tall. Sporotheca dark brown, globose to ovate, 0.25 mm diam. Peridium
completely evanescent.Stalk black, slender, cylindrical, hollow, translucent, yellow at the base, brown above.Columella reaching the centre of the sporotheca. Capillitiumlax, arising from the tip and sometimes the sides of the columella, branched and anastomosed, forming an open net with few or no free ends. Spores in compactclusters of 7-15, brown, verrucose on the exposed area, smooth elsewhere, pyriform, 9.5-10.5 µm diam., spore clusters 19-26 µm diam. A very variable species.
