Sporocarps scattered or grouped, 0.3-2.0 mm tall. Hypothallusdiscoid, small, red-brown or yellow. Stalk red-brown or sometimes yellow at the base, keratinoid, homogenous, not fibrous, distinctly hollow, tapering upwards and becoming darker, 50-70% of the total height. Sporotheca spherical, 0.05-0.3 mm diam.,
