Overview
The bark of this and other Khaya species is effective against malaria [Awe and Makinde, 1991], and used as such in Ghana [Abbiw, 1990].

Physical Description
Species Khaya grandifoliola
Moderately large, spreading , emergent or at least (gregarious ) canopy of dry forest or savanna fringe tree . Sometimes deciduous, flowering in the dry season with the flush of new leaves [Taylor]. Fruits are produced Oct.-March.
Habitat
Ecology: Occurring more frequently in dry semi-deciduous forest and forest outliers than K . anthotheca.[1]
