Physical Description
Species Capparis indica
Tree up to 10m tall. Covered in silvery scales . See. C.odoratissima A small to medium sized tree. Lf stalkls scaly ; blades ellitpic to bobate; not leathery, pointed or rounded at both ends. 4-11 cm long . The end of each leaf often often with a small, stiff point . Bark is dark, smooth . Flowers fragrant. Inflorescences of about 6 flowers; 7-13mm x 4-8mm white petals densely hairy on both sides. Stamens 1.5-2.5 cm long. Fruit seldner 4-26cm x 6-9mm, constricted between seeds splitting to reveal brightly colored orange/red insuid and 8 mm long seeds.
