Haplopappus is a genus of flowering plant in the Asteraceae family. It contains the following species:
Haplopappus albicans
Haplopappus heterophyllus Contains a toxin called Tremetrol that poisons cattles and sheeps who feed on that plant causing muscular tremors, weakness and falls. Humans who consumes milk or its products, shelf of animals who are affected develop the acute condition called milk sickness. The same condition happens by the plant Eupatorium rugosum containing also the toxin Tremetol.
