Overview
Trochomorphidae is a family of air-breathing land snails, terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusks in the clade Eupulmonata (according to the taxonomy of the Gastropoda by Bouchet & Rocroi, 2005).
This family has no subfamilies (according to the taxonomy of the Gastropoda by Bouchet & Rocroi, 2005).
Distribution of Trochomorphidae include eastern-Palearctic, India, south-eastern Asia, Australian and Polynesia.[2]
Anatomy
In this family, the number of haploid chromosomes lies between 26 and 30 (according to the values in this table).[3]
Genera
Genera within the fa mily Trochomorphidae include:
- Trochomorpha Albers, 1850 - type genus of the family Trochomorphidae
Some authors place the following two genera in this family instead of in the family Zonitidae.
- Kondoa Baker, 1941[citation needed]
- Hogolua Baker, 1941[citation needed]
