(Superfamily)

Overview

Planorboidea is a superfamily of air-breathing freshwater snails, aquatic pulmonate gastropod mollusks.1]

The gastropods in this superfamily are all sinistral in shell coiling.

The monophyly of Planorboidea has been confirmed by Albrecht et al. (2007).[2]
