Description
Family Fringillidae
A Family of seed-eating, small to moderately large passerine birds that have strong , stubby beaks, which in some species can be quite large. They have a bouncing flight, alternating flapping with gliding on closed wings. Most sing well.

Size/Age/Growth
About 4.75 inches long, with a wingspan of 7.5 to 8 inches. Adults weigh about 0.4 ounces .
Habitat
Inhabits deciduous forests .
Vegetation: tropical lowland evergreen forest, second-growth forests and woodlands, tropical lowland evergreen forest, montaine evergreen forests • Maximum Elevation: 2,600 meters • Sensitivity to Disturbancet: Low
