Overview
Interesting Facts
- The number of different tanager species peaks in the tropical zones of its distribution. Only a few species occur in temperate American zones as Neotropical migrants.
- Unlike most social tanager species, the Palm Tanager does not mingle with other tanagers in larger social foraging flocks. Palm Tanagers are more pair-bonded and isolated by nature and exhibit less colorful feather plumage compared to most tropical tanager species.
