Physical Description
Adult : Head : brown Sides: paler brown Bill: black Neck: Throat : sides paler brown Body: Back: brown Underparts: white Legs : Foot Color: yellowish Wings : Secondaries: white with brown tips Tail: white with brown-tip.
Habitat
Typically found in water with a depth of 0 to -5,503 meters (0 to -18,054 feet).[1]

Ecology:
The Antarctic
Petrel nests
on snow-free cliffs
and rock faces
. Nesting
sites are mostly coastal or on offshore islands, but it has been
found to nest up to 250 km
inland. The diet
of this species is comprised
mostly of krill, but also fish and squid. Prey
is obtained mostly
by surface-seizing but diving from the air
and surface is also seen1.
