Family : Puffers ; Adults inhabit freshwater streams , rivers and floodplains . Feed on mollusks, crustaceans, and other invertebrates , as well as some plant matter. May eat scales and fins [1]. Seen in the aquarium trade but known to be aggressive with its tankmates [1]. Aquarium keeping: needs salt; minimum aquarium size 60 cm; not recommended for home aquariums[2].
