Notes
This species was formerly placed in the genus Nasalis. Recent molecular analysis does not support a genus-level distinction (Whittaker et al. 2006). There are currently two recognized subspecies : S. c. concolor, which is found in Indonesia on the islands of Sipora, North Pagai, and South Pagai, and S. c. siberu, which is found on the island of Siberut (Whittaker 2006).[1].
