Physical Description

Adult Female: Neck: Throat : bronze dots on buff Body: Sides: rufous Underparts: buff Upperparts: green Tail: white-tipped outer feathers with rufous base.Adult Male: Bill: black Curvature: straight Length : long Body: Gorget : rose-red Sides: green Underparts: gray, and whitish gray near throat Upperparts: iridescent green.

Size/Age/Growth

About 4 to 4.5 inches long, with a wingspan of 5 to 5 inches. Adults weigh about 0.1 ounces .
