Physical Description

Species Sebastes levis

Body color: Pink, including fins ; 4-5 narrow, somewhat irregular bars . Peritoneum color: light. Shape between eyes: convex to flat. Counts: D:XIII,12-13, Ar:6-7, P1 :17-18, GR:29-33, LLp:45-53, LLs:72-74, V:26

Size/Age/Growth

Maximum length : 35 in (94 cm).

Habitat

Found on the bottom at moderate depths, to 366 m [1]. Juveniles are pelagic[2], over fine sand and clay , whereas adults (>44 cm TL ) inhabit rocky areas at 90-300 m[3]. Common depth: 83-134 fm (152-244 m). Maximum depth: 200 fm (366 m)

Typically found in water with a depth of 0 to -2,191 meters (0 to -7,188 feet).[4]
