Physical Description
Adult : Head : black Crown: band of white extending across between eyebrows Bill: red with black tip Body: Back: dark blue-gray Underparts: white Legs : Foot Color: orange.
Habitat
Vegetation: freshwater marshes, pelagic waters • Foraging Strata: Water • Center of Abundance: Lower subtropical: lowlands, lower than 500 m.; subtropics. • Sensitivity to Disturbance: High
Typically found at an altitude of 0 to 5,308 meters (0 to 17,415 feet).[1]
Ecology:
It is a partially migratory marine
species which nests
on rocky coasts,
sometimes amongst vegetation8.
