Habitat

Typically found at an altitude of 0 to 3,869 meters (0 to 12,694 feet).[1]

Ecology: It is a nocturnal species, found in a variety of arid habitats from sand dunes to hummock and tussock grasslands (Breed 2008). Animals spend the day in burrows. Females generally give birth to three or four young (Breed 2008).[2].
