Description
Family Procellariidae
Small- to medium-sized seabirds with a characteristic tubular nasal passage which is used for smell. Most have weak legs , and all are strong fliers.
Physical Description
Adult : Face : Chin: white spot, extending onto face to form a line up behind ear patch Bill: ivory Lower Mandible: black highlighting Upper Mandible: black highlighting on nostrils and top Legs : Foot Color: black.
Habitat
Vegetation: freshwater marshes, pelagic waters • Foraging Strata: Water • Center of Abundance: Lower subtropical: lowlands, lower than 500 m.; subtropics. • Sensitivity to Disturbancet: High
