Description
Family Corvidae
A Family of passerine songbirds that contains the crows, ravens, rooks, jackdaws, jays, magpies, treepies and nutcrackers. Corvids are medium to large birds with strong feet and bills, rictal bristles and a single moult each year.
Habitat
Biome: Terrestrial
Ecology: It is found in montane
forest
, dominated by species such as Podocarpus, Schefflera and Prunus, where it inhabits thick forest understorey and seems to favour streams
or dry stream courses4,5. Below 1,800 m
, it is replaced by its congener
