Description
Habitat
Biome: Terrestrial ; Freshwater [1].
Ecology:
This species is associated with ponds
or leaf-litter of the coastal
plain
in the Atlantic rainforest. It reproduces on the forest
floor
near places that are prone to flooding. The eggs
are laid in a foam
nest
built on the water surface, and are anchored to the margins
of ponds, or alternatively, on the wet leaf-litter close to the ponds.
