Habitat

Biome: Terrestrial ; Freshwater [1].

Ecology: This species is associated with ponds or leaf-litter of the coastal plain in the Atlantic rainforest. It reproduces on the forest floor near places that are prone to flooding. The eggs are laid in a foam nest built on the water surface, and are anchored to the margins of ponds, or alternatively, on the wet leaf-litter close to the ponds. [1].
