Typically found at an altitude of 0 to 3,376 meters (0 to 11,076 feet).[1]

Ecology: This species is present where nesting hollows are available in various types of primary , secondary, and degraded forest . It has been recorded from plantations and rural gardens. Females give birth to two young. [2].
