Habitat

Biome: Freshwater [1].

Ecology: Lives in Lake Chala, which is a deep, clear lake (Trewavas 1983). Young feed on algae and debris from the bottom between the rocks near the shore . No information was obtained on the food preference of adults (Trewavas 1983). Max . size: 253 mm SL (Trewavas and Teugels 1991).[1].
