Habitat

Found inshore in groups around over-grown structures and among Laminaria or Zostera beds .

Typically found at an altitude of 0 to 547 meters (0 to 1,795 feet).[1]

Diet

Feeds on small crustaceans (copepods , amphipods , mysids ) and chaetognaths [2].

Reproduction

Eggs are about 1 mm long, pear-shaped, and adhere to seagrass or weeds ; pelagic larvae hatch at 2.5 mm length [3].
