Habitat

Found in estuaries, lagoons and inshore waters over sand or mud , in seagrass or on algae.

Typically found at an altitude of 0 to 921 meters (0 to 3,022 feet).[1]

Feeds on crustaceans (larger amphipods , isopods , shrimps, mysids , small crabs), bivalves , gastropods , polychaetes , chironomid larvae, sometimes small fish[2].
