Overview

Family : Galaxiids ; Found among Dracophyllum spp. shrub land growing on deep peat[1]. Fish were abundant along the lake shore and for a short distance down the outlet stream [1]. Main item on the diet were insect larvae. Preyed on by Anguilla dieffenbachii [1].
