Physical Description
Species Fromia milleporella
Small sea star with 5 triangular arms , flattened shape . The color is uniform red with large scattered pores . Red Sea specimens have white or light blue round spots. 7 cm diameter.
Habitat
Encountered in lagoon , back reef and reef front .

Similar Species
Different Fromia species are identified by the plates on the dirsal side. Fromia monilis has larger tubercles at the margins, smaller in the center of the arms; Fromia nodosa is similar but with a central row of large tubercles on each arm; Fromia indica has plates covering all the surface, Fromia milleporella has no plates.
