Description
Habitat
Found on coral , rubble , or rock bottoms of reef flats [1]; also in coastal to outer reef habitats in sheltered lagoons and in caves, sometimes in small aggregations. Usually shallow but reported to 80 m depth. Usually found at depths of 3 to 60 meters.
Typically found in water with a depth of 0 to -5,004 meters (0 to -16,417 feet).[2]

Spawned in captivity[3].
Migration
Pelagic stages travel great distances and expatriate to sub-tropical zones[4].
