Habitat

Biome: Terrestrial

Ecology: The species is restricted to high altitude , periglacial boulder fields (basalt, granite, granodiorites) overlain with Podocarpus lawrenceii heathland and adjacent alpine communities. The basalt boulderfields have the greatest population density . B . parvus is nocturnal and has a diet composed of seeds, fruits, worms and other invertebrates . This species may not be strictly arboreal but is an adept climber that is terrestrial .[1]
