Family Procellariidae

Small- to medium-sized seabirds with a characteristic tubular nasal passage which is used for smell. Most have weak legs , and all are strong fliers.

Habitat

Typically found in water with a depth of 0 to -5,755 meters (0 to -18,881 feet).Mean = -2,002.980 meters (-6,571.457 feet), Standard Deviation = 1,938.800 based on 58 observations. Ocean depth information for each observation from British Oceanographic Data Centre.
