Overview
Insect. The sweet potato whitefly is a major pest worldwide of crops grown for food and fibre. Damage is caused by the piercing and sucking of sap from the foliage of plants , the vectoring of plant viruses, and the production of honeydew which serves as substrate for the growth of sooty moulds on leaves.
