Southwest Pacific: New Zealand and Australia (Ref. 7300). Southeast Pacific: Nazca and Sala-y-Gomez. Macristium chavesi (pelagic larvae) known from Dominican Republic, Bay of Biscay, Azores, and in the Indian Ocean.
