Habitat

Typically found in a lake at a mean distance from sea level of 36 meters (119 feet).[1]

Ecology: This species inhabits shallow waters of a range of freshwater habitats , as well as brackish bays and human-dominated habitats such as dam reservoirs , old river beds and ditches (Carlsson 2006, Michalik-Kucharz 2008).[2].
