Notes

Name Status: Accepted Name .

Comment: Holotype: WAM R13861 No additional specimens of A. rostrata have been collected since its locality was subjected to atomic weapons testing in the 1950s (Ehmann, 1992). The subspecies fusca has been elevated to full species status by STORR et al. (1990).

The typical subspecies Aprasia rostrata rostrata was listed previously on the IUCN Red List, but as the other subspecies A. r. fusca Storr, 1979 is now recognized as a good species, the typical subspecies now becomes a full species.[1].
