Physical Description

Species Ancylopsetta dendritica

Males are commonly 25 cm (Total Length) in length when caught/marketed, but may be as large as 35 cm (Total Length).

Habitat

May be found at depths of 18 to 100 meters.

Typically found in water with a depth of 0 to -46 meters (0 to -151 feet).[1]

Biome: Marine [2].

Ecology: This species lives on muddy-sandy substrata over a depth range of 7-100m. It feeds on mobile invertebrates and fishes , and it has pelagic eggs and larvae (Hensley 1995, Galven-Magaa et al. 2000). [2].
