Family Oniscoidea

Essentially terrestrial , although certain species are restricted to moist situations near the high tide line ; pleon generally with 5 free pleonites plus the pleotelson ; antenna 1 rudimentary , with only 2 or 3 articles .

Habitat

Typically found in the intertidal zone at the water's edge at a mean distance from sea level of -30 meters (-98 feet).Standard Deviation = 148.030 based on 91 observations. Terrestrial altitude and ocean depth information for each observation from British Oceanographic Data Centre.
