Habitat

Ecology: It occurs in hill streams and the surrounding habitats , and breeds in streams. The existence of tadpoles has not been recorded for this species. This is the only amphibian known to make use of ultrasonic communication; males produce diverse bird-like melodic calls with pronounced frequency modulations that often contain spectral energy in the ultrasonic range (Feng et al. 2006).[1]
