Habitat

Vegetation: arid montane scrubs • Minimum Elevation: 1,500 meters • Maximum Elevation: 1,900 meters • Zoogeographic Region: Southern Mexican Highlands • Foraging Strata: Terrestrial • Center of Abundance: Middle montane: mountains, middle range, 1,600-2,600 m. • Sensitivity to Disturbance: Medium

Typically found at an altitude of 0 to 2,430 meters (0 to 7,972 feet).[1]

Ecology: This species inhabits arid to semi-arid oak-thorn scrub , brushy ravines and adjacent overgrown grassy areas at elevations of 1,600-1,900 m 1,2.
